Newborn Baby Photo Sessions

My baby-led photo sessions are relaxed and dedicated to making your little one feel as comfortable as possible. Every baby is unique, so I strive to capture their individual personalities and tiny features.

Sessions start at £85 and can range from 1-2 hours, leaving enough time if your baby needs a feed or a cuddle.

I recommend booking a photo session in the first two weeks after your baby’s arrival. Parents and siblings are encouraged to take part too.

I look forward to hearing about your new arrival!

FAQs

When should I book?

It is best to book after you've had your first scan and you know your due date. We can then temporarily book a session two weeks after your due date.

A more accurate date can be booked once your baby arrives as they may decide to come out earlier or later than expected!

How long will the session be?

I allow 1-2 hours for my newborn baby photo sessions. This is to allow time for the baby to cry, have a cuddle with mum, change of clothes as well as time to set up the studio.

What happens after the session?

After the shoot, I will edit each image and return them to you within a week. They will be available in a personalized photo gallery on my client website where you can view, share and download the images at their highest quality.

How should I prepare for the session?

Upon booking, you will be given a full breakdown of how the session will work along with tips and advice on how to prepare.

Where will the photo session be held?

I prefer to do my newborn baby sessions in your home as that is where you and your baby are likely to be most comfortable. A room with lots of space is ideal for my portable studio setup, and a large window is preferable as I like to use natural light.

What will we need for the session?

I have pillows and blankets but if you have any special props, teddies, or outfits you’d like to include in the shoot then I’d be happy to incorporate them.

What if my baby has flakey or patchy skin?

It is normal for babies to have flakey and patchy skin and this will not be an issue for the shoot. If you would like me to touch up the skin during editing then I can do so at no extra cost.

Can we have photos with our baby?

Of course! I encourage parents and siblings to get involved in the session for family portraits too.

What happens during the session?

In brief, I will do the baby photos first which include the nude ones and ones with different outfits and props while the baby is still sleepy. I will then do the family portraits with you all together. A full explanation with tips and advice will be sent to you once you have booked.

What happens if my baby cries?

All babies cry and this is why I allow extra time during photo sessions to allow you to cuddle and reassure your baby like you usually would. No image is more important than your baby's comfort.
